William C. Dotson, age 74, of Norwalk, Ohio, died in his sleep on Thursday, September 22, 2011 in Estes Park, Colorado while on vacation.

Bill was born on August 18, 1937 in Mount Vernon, Ohio to Clinton and Helen Dotson. He was raised in the Mount Vernon area with his seven brothers, Bob, Ben, John, Gary, Tom, Charles "Midge" and Doug by his father and step-mother, Nell Dotson. Bill graduated high school from the Mount Vernon Academy and attended college at Bowling Green State University. He held certificates as a licensed practice nurse as well as a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator. He also served proudly in the United States Army during the Korean War.

Bill Dotson was the founder of Gaymont Nursing Center and through his love and caring for others, touched the lives of many. He has held numerous board seats and served on multiple committees for the betterment of Huron County. He believed strongly in actively supporting the Norwalk community. Bill was an active member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Norwalk.

Bill is survived in death by his wife, Sherri and son Bill Dotson II and Erin Dotson, along with his six grandchildren, Anthony, Christina, Mathew, Timothy, Troi and Wyatt. He is also survived by his father, Clinton and Audrey Dotson and brothers, Tom Ute and Doug Dotson.

Friends may call on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at 4:00 PM at the Seventh Day Adventist Church 400 Old State Road Nowalk, Ohio with Pastor Marius E. Marton officiating.
